Nanping Hydrological Bureau carries out flood hydrological forecast exercises to enhance the ability of cadres and workers of Nanping hydrological system to respond to flood hydrological forecast and sudden disasters, and to provide high-quality services for flood control and disaster mitigation. Nanping Hydrological Bureau held the drill at Jianyang Hydrological Station from April 24 to 25.
The exercises simulated the floods in Jianxi Basin of Minjiang River on June 20, 2010. There are seven hydrological forecasting groups: hydrological forecasting group, radar wave and ADCP flow measurement group, radar wave velocity meter flow measurement group, water quality sampling group, emergency transfer group, exercise support and information service group. Advanced technologies and equipment such as acoustic Doppler remote control ship, UAV and radio current meter were fully used in the exercise. It embodies the full application of modern high technology in hydrological survey and forecast, and improves the efficiency of hydrological survey and forecast. The whole exercise process has achieved full preparation, strong command, rigorous organization, conscientious exercise, efficient operation, and remarkable results. Learning has achieved the desired goal.
In order to ensure the successful completion of hydrological survey and forecast in 2019, it laid a solid foundation for providing high-quality services for flood control and disaster reduction in Nanping City.
